Question:

May I file anonymously?
Answer:

Yes, a requester may file OPRA requests anonymously.  However, OPRA specifically prohibits anonymous requests for victims' records.  If you wish to submit your request anonymously you can:
  1. Create an account by providing a valid e-mail address to track the status of your request and by typing "Anonymous" in all the required fields when creating an account.
  2. Submit a request without providing an e-mail address by using the "Submit Anonymously" option at the bottom of the login page on the Rutgers University Open Records Center.
Please note, if a permissible anonymous request involves making copies and the estimated cost exceeds $5.00, the custodian may request a deposit.
